This holiday in one of the emerging destinations of the Italian cycling tourism scene. Inside the MAB area (Biosphere Reserve) from Domodossola to Milan passing through rivers, canals, canals, lakes, vineyards and ancient farms.
This is not just a historical naturalistic itinerary but a real journey through time that retraces the periods in which populations lived in symbiosis with nature and learned to use it to improve their lives and create development. A time in which great works were carried out with ancient means and methods that have survived to this day.
A one-of-a-kind holiday, suitable for average cycle tourists who want to discover the lands of the lakes, the Ticino Park, the largest protected river area in Europe, the piedmont vineyards and the great hydraulic works following the so-called "marble road", the ancient system of canals used to transport the precious construction material of the Milan Cathedral.
Many curiosities, ever-changing environments, unique panoramic views will allow you to get to know one of the most important emerging cycling destinations in Italy, spanning four provinces - Varese, Novara, Milan and VCO - that touch seven lakes, three protected parks, three historic cities and one of the longest and most historically rich cycling routes in Lombardy and Piedmont. Almost entirely on dirt roads, cycle paths and secondary roads, this holiday dedicated to "active green" will be a fast-paced succession of landscapes that you will remember with the common thread of water always present to accompany the participants.

A first stage between history and incredible nature that crosses the Alps along its lakes. A first warm-up through the Piane Viscontee pedaling on stretches of medieval dirt roads to the Belvedere di Azzate on the Alps and Lake Varese.
Then the cycle paths of the two lakes - Varese and Comabbio - passing by Monte San Giacomo, the highest point of the Ticino Park
Lake Maggiore and its castles

We will go along the entire Lake Maggiore passing through the most beautiful beaches until we reach the shadow of the Rocca and inside the oasis of Bruschera.
Amazing panoramic points that will take us to visit the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, the real pearl of Lake Maggiore.

We will arrive on the Ticino River through the Brughiera and the airport of Malpensa.
After visiting the historic Via Gaggio, a true open-air museum, we will walk along the river’s most beautiful banks until we reach the main dam of Panperduto, which is about to be nominated as a UNESCO site.

A route rich in history that will make us discover the original path used to bring the marble for the construction of the Cathedral from Val d'Osssola to Milan.
