This exceptional route touches some of the most suggestive places of the so-called "Costa Fiorita" of Lake Maggiore. From the imposing Rocca di Angera you cross, through vineyards and hills, the hinterland passing by the Museo della Pipa di Brebbia and the height of Cardana, to proceed towards the Hermitage of S. Caterina del Sasso, the most famous sacred building of Lake Maggiore perched on the crag at Leggiuno. The return is all on the coast through parks, small harbours and villages until you reach Ispra and the Gulf of Quassa. After the ritual photo at Sasso Cavallazzo we proceed to Ranco and Angera to see the historic center.
